How do I enrol students using the bulk upload?

The bulk upload allows you to add student details to a template spreadsheet and upload this, rather than enter the student's details one by one. If you have more than one placement, you can add all placements to one spreadsheet.

From your dashboard, check you are on the correct term for your placements. Click 'Add Students in Bulk' underneath the 'Placements' section, and you will be taken to the bulk upload page.  Follow the steps below:

1. Read the instructions and download the template spreadsheet.

2. Fill in the details of all your students taking part in a placement this term. Please ensure that you complete all columns on the template, and where there is a drop-down menu ensure you have selected one of the options for each student.

    1. For the Student Hub Email please enter your students’ school email address. This will be their email for accessing the Hub and allow them to reset their own password. If your students do not have a school email address, we would suggest you make one up for them e.g. student@primaryacademy.org. Emails must be unique to each student. If you leave this column blank, a dummy email address will be generated for you.
    2. For the Student Hub Password please create a memorable password. It must be at least 8 characters and contain at least 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase and 1 numeric character.

3. Once you are ready, save your file as a csv. Then click ‘choose file’ and upload your completed template. Then click ‘proceed to next step’.

4. If there have been any errors you will be notified. Otherwise, click ‘proceed to next step’ again.

5. Select which placement each student will be taking part in. You can also confirm your students’ Hub email addresses and passwords.

6. Click ‘Register Students’ to upload their details. Students will then appear on the placement page under ‘data being processed'. Do not upload details again and come back to review upload progress in a few hours.
