How do I enrol students using the bulk upload?

When uploading students onto the Hub you have the option to use our bulk upload which allows you to add your student details to a template spreadsheet and upload the spreadsheet rather than enter the students details one by one on the Hub. If you have more than one placement, you can add all placements to one spreadsheet. 

From your dashboard, ensure you are on the correct term for your placements. You will see an option to 'Add Students in Bulk' underneath the 'Placements' section. Click here, and follow the steps below:

  1. To prepare for your bulk upload, download the student data template linked at the top of the page.
  2. Fill in the details of all your students taking part in a placement this term on the spreadsheet. Please ensure that you complete all of the columns on the template, and where there is a drop-down menu ensure you have selected one of the options for each student.
  3. Once you are ready, click ‘choose file’ on the page and upload your completed template. Then click ‘proceed to next step’
  4. If there have been any errors you will be notified. If everything has worked, you will click ‘proceed to next step’ again.

  5. Once uploaded, you will be asked to:      
    1. update your students’ Hub login details. Please update the email address to a school email address where one is available.
    2. select which placement each student will be taking part in.
  6. Click 'Register students' to add your students to the Hub. Please note that your students and/or some of their data may take some time to update on the system. For example, it can take some time for it to show if the student is a 'target' student or not. Once you click register, please do not re-register your students or try to update their details for a few hours whilst the data is finalised. Please instead come back in a few hours to check the progress.
