How do students complete their pre-programme assessments? - Teacher

What are the pre- and post-programme assessments?

The Hub produces pre- and post-programme assessments for enrolled students. These allow us to measure and report the impact of The Scholars Programme on university self-efficacy, a range of skills that evidence shows have a positive impact on students’ academic attainment and progression to university. The results will be reported in your School Impact Report, once placements are complete.

How do students complete their pre-programme assessments?

Students must complete the pre-programme assessments directly on the Hub before the Tutor Launch and will not be unable to access it shortly after this. This ensures that the self-report assessments are an accurate baseline for university self-efficacy.

When logged into the Hub, students will see the following tasks page. By clicking into 'Pre programme assessment' they will be able to complete it. It will take about 15 minutes to complete and there are instructions when you first open it.

The star on the left will fill purple when the assessment is completed and a green tick will appear on the right hand side.

How do I track completion of pre-programme assessments?

You will be able to track which students have completed the assessments by looking at the status on the 'Assessments' tab on the 'Placements' page. It is vital that students complete all questions in order for us to be able to provide a full School Impact Report that details how your students' university self-efficacy compares to the national average of their Scholars Programme cohort.
