How do students complete their pre- and post- programme assessments? - Teacher
What are the pre- and post-programme assessments?
The Hub produces pre- and post-programme assessments for enrolled students. These allow us to measure and report the impact of The Scholars Programme on university self-efficacy, a range of skills that evidence shows have a positive impact on students’ academic attainment and progression to university. The results will be reported in your School Impact Report, once placements are complete.
How do I track completion of pre- and post- programme assessments?
You can monitor assessment completion through the ‘Assessments’ tab, accessible in two ways:
- Via the ‘Tasks’ tab:
Next to ‘Pre-Programme Assessments’ and ‘Post-Programme Assessments’, you’ll see either a red cross or a green tick.
- A red cross indicates that not all students have completed the assessment.
A green tick means all students have submitted their responses.
Clicking on either icon will take you directly to the ‘Assessments’ tab.
- Via the ‘Monitoring’ tab:
Select the ‘Monitoring’ tab, then click on the ‘Assessments’ sub-tab to view detailed completion data.
- As shown below, you can track overall completion of each assessment, as well as see which individual students have either 'Not started' or 'Completed' their assessment.
Please ensure that students complete all questions. Full responses are essential for generating an accurate School Impact Report, which compares your students’ university self-efficacy to the national average of their Scholars Programme cohort.
How do students complete their pre-programme assessments?
Students must complete the pre-programme assessments directly on the Hub before the Tutor Launch and will be unable to access it shortly after this. This ensures that the self-report assessments are an accurate baseline for university self-efficacy.
When logged into the Hub, students will see the following tasks page. By clicking into 'Pre programme assessment' they will be able to complete it. It will take about 5 minutes to complete and there are instructions when you first open it.
The star on the left will fill purple when the assessment is completed and a green tick will appear on the right hand side.
- This page shows how students can log in to the Hub.
- Information on how to check or update students' login details can be found here: How do I check or update students' login details? - Teacher

How do students complete their post-programme assessments?
Students complete their post-programme assessment directly on the Student Hub on the ‘Tasks’ page. They should do so as soon as possible after Tutorial 7. By clicking into Post-Programme Assessment' they will be able to complete it. It will take about 5 minutes to complete and there are instructions when you first open it. This short video also explains how students can complete their post-programme assessments.
The star on the left will fill purple when the assessment is completed, and a green tick will appear on the right-hand side.
Please note: Once complete, students will be able to download a certificate of completion, which includes their grade and mark.
