How do I submit marks and feedback? - Tutors

Viewing and Marking Baseline and Final Assignments

To view and mark baseline and final assignments, please follow these steps:

  1. Click View Submissions to see a list of students and their submission details.
  2. Click View and Mark to see each student's submission and provide a mark for each.
  3. Enter a mark in each box relating to: Subject Knowledge, Critical Thinking, and Written Communication.
  4. The overall mark will be calculated for you based on the sub-marks you enter.
  5. Click Submit Marks.

Resubmissions

Students are now able to resubmit their baseline and final assignments. You will be able to see all previous submissions from students here as well. You should assume the most recent submission is the work the student would like marked, but you should check with them if unsure. It is the responsibility of the tutor to set expectations for how many times a student can resubmit and if you would like to set a deadline for when you will no longer check new submissions. There are no deadlines or limits set by The Brilliant Club to allow flexibility for each individual circumstance.

Providing Feedback

For baseline assessments you can submit your marks and feedback at the same time, but please mind that for final assessments, tutors should only submit feedback once told marks have been confirmed.

For guidance on writing effective feedback and templates, please see here Final Assignments Feedback Guidance {password: tbctutors}.

To submit feedback for a student, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Assignments tab and click on View Submissions for the relevant assignment. Here, you can see the date of all students’ last submissions and how many times they have submitted.
  2. Click View and Mark next to the student’s name. You’ll be directed to a page displaying their uploaded assignment and previous submissions. You can see the marks you have entered.
  3. When you are ready to upload feedback, scroll down to the Feedback section, where you’ll find a Choose File button.

  1. Drag and drop your feedback file or select it using the file chooser. Only one document can be submitted at a time, and we strongly recommend that you upload your feedback using our template and as a PDF.
  2. Once uploaded, a red cross will appear next to the document link. To replace the feedback document, click the red cross and upload a new file. You can reupload feedback as many times as needed.

  1. Once you’ve uploaded the feedback, the student will receive a notification. They can then access and download the feedback document from their assignment.
